Production Associate

We’re expanding our ambitious staff and increasing our motivated goals toward future growth. You’ll be autonomous and be able to collaborate on ideas with your colleagues. Each week you will run several exciting and innovative projects. You’ll optimize completion of projects and techniques through your resourcefulness and critical thinking skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in life science (Advance degree a plus)
• Excellent working knowledge of molecular biology techniques
• 6 months - 1 year general lab; 6 months related experience in Next Gen sequencing experience and capillary electrophoresis sequencing a plus
• Flexible scheduling (some weekend time may be required)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to think critically and troubleshoot processes
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and in a group
• General Lab experience including but not limited to:
  • Working experience with molecular biology techniques for DNA and RNA manipulations and processing
  • Next-generation sequencing library Preparation
  • Nucleic acids purification, preparation work and amplification
  • Real Time PCR experience a plus
  • Previous familiarity and/or use of Laboratory Information Management Systems
  • Ability to validate and design new laboratory protocols
  • Experience with documentation of laboratory practices in SOPs and creation of new SOPs when needed
